This is the web page and blog of Dr. Ingo Mierswa.

I am the Founder & President of RapidMiner.  RapidMiner makes real data science fast and simple.  Under my leadership RapidMiner has grown up to 300% per year.  Starting in 2013, I spearheaded the go-international strategy with the opening of offices in the US, UK, and Hungary.  I guided the company through multiple rounds of fundraising as well as the acquisition of Radoop.  Finally, I played a key role in the positioning of RapidMiner with leading analyst firms like Gartner and Forrester.  However, I take most pride in bringing the world’s best team to RapidMiner.

I am a data scientist in residence who enjoys solving analytical problems with machine learning.  I also wrote more than 40 publications in this field and gave hundreds of presentations.  My PhD covers the topic of non-convex and multi-objective optimization for machine learning.  I enjoy teaching others about data science which resulted in the 5 minutes with Ingo video series.

I love to predict the future. And I want to close the loop between insights and action because this is the only thing which drives change.

Somewhat unknown factoids:

• If I wouldn’t work for RapidMiner, I would live on a sailing boat and be a photographer.
• My wife and I brought a horse when we moved to the United States in 2013.
• We traveled more than 20,000 miles through 20 countries – on our bicycles.
